Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced F5 Engineer to implement, configure, and maintain F5 technologies across data centers and WAN/MAN sites. You will optimize application delivery, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure security and availability of the network.

The role requires hands-on F5 BIG-IP experience, Cisco routing/switching expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You will work with network and infrastructure teams, performing routine maintenance and participating in

Qualifications

5 years with a Bachelor's degree or 9 years with a HS Diploma.
5 years hands-on experience implementing and administering complex multi-location networks.
Hands-on experience with F5 Load Balancers in real environments.
Experience with Cisco routers & switches (Nexus/NX-Os, Catalyst 9000, Cisco ACI/DNA Center) and Infoblox DDI appliances.

Responsibilities

Deploy, license, and configure F5 BIG-IP LTM hardware.
Maintain virtual servers, pools, nodes, and monitors.
Manage SSL offloading, SSL bridging, and cipher suite configurations.
Develop and troubleshoot iRules (TCL) for advanced traffic steering, URI redirects, and header manipulation.
Design and test HA failover (DSC, Active/Standby) and use REST APIs for monitoring.
