Job summary

PacifiCorp, based in Portland, seeks a senior accounting professional to provide GAAP-based accounting and financial reporting expertise. You will interpret SEC and FERC rules and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate disclosures and internal controls.

The role requires seven years of relevant experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and ability to work under tight deadlines in a collaborative, regulatory-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum seven years of relevant experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and regulatory reporting experience.
• Experience with SEC Forms and external reporting.
• Proficient with Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical accounting research under GAAP, FERC and SEC accounting and disclosure requirements.
• Review significant contracts and regulatory orders for accounting implications.
• Assist with preparation of SEC Form 10‑K, 10‑Q and 8‑K filings with cross‑functional teams.
• Assist with SEC Form 10‑K and 10‑Q disclosures and data interpretation.
• Assist with external reports (FERC Forms 3Q/1, ESG reports, regulatory filings).
• Assist with quarterly internal controls over financial reporting tasks.
• Support quarterly variance analyses for internal/external reporting.
• Provide information for due diligence requests and debt offering schedules.
• Potentially assist with information security controls compliance.
• Consult with management to identify and implement solutions.
