Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, public policy, finance, engineering or related discipline or equivalent utility industry experience.
• Five years of relevant work experience.
• FERC utility policy experience or utility operational experience.
• Master’s degree or equivalent advanced education.
• Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience in compliance, regulatory strategy, or utility operations.
• Working knowledge of compliance and risk frameworks, internal controls, and regulatory analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of compliance programs within Electric Compliance.
• Research regulatory requirements and assess changes to align internal controls.
• Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging legislation, policy developments, and regulatory trends.
• Draft and maintain compliance documentation and evidence tracking tools.
• Monitor compliance metrics, perform self-assessments, and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to translate obligations into actionable work processes.
• Contribute to regulatory filings and documentation requests.
• Develop dashboards, data visualizations, and analytics to strengthen oversight.
• Lead root-cause analyses and develop mitigation controls.
• Share updates with leaders to promote awareness and collaboration.
