Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeking an External Manufacturing (EM) Data Analyst to partner with business leaders, gather requirements, and drive process improvements in manufacturing operations. You will develop dashboards (Tableau, Power BI) and analyze capacity to support EM strategy.

Role requires strong SQL, Excel, and data analysis skills; Python or BI experience is a plus, with ability to present to senior leadership and drive consensus.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in business, data science, IT, CS, engineering, math, statistics, or related.
• Specialist: 2+ years; Senior Specialist: 5+ years (level based on experience)
• Preferred: product/project management and/or project leadership experience
• SQL for relational database queries; Python experience is a plus
• Excel and BI tools proficiency; familiarity with IT project management tools is a plus
• Strong situational analysis, decision-making, and process/operations improvement skills
• Exceptional written/verbal/visual communication; ability to present to senior leadership and drive consensus

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to gather requirements, document processes, and identify opportunities for new capabilities and process improvements
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for real-time visibility into EM performance
• Analyze capacity, performance, and operational data to support Planning/Scheduling and drive EM strategy, process simplification, and standardization
• Perform root-cause and A3 problem-solving; lead Continuous Improvement and Kaizen events (e.g., Process Mapping, Direct Observation)
• Monitor and analyze metrics to identify process gaps, improve service levels, reduce waste, and increase value chain efficiency
• Support end-to-end implementation projects (requirements, application/process design, testing, validation, end-user knowledge transfer)
• Evaluate industry/market trends to identify new solutions, products, technologies, and business models
• Handle ad hoc data analysis requests and help develop presentations and EM strategy updates
• Leverage AI to optimize workflows and create efficiencies
