Job summary

Lucid Motors is hiring a Staff Supplier Industrialization Engineer to drive the industrialization of exterior trim systems from design through production launch. This role leads supplier selection, tooling readiness, APQP/PPAP activities, and capacity validation, influencing product and process decisions across internal teams and suppliers to ensure quality and on-time production.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of high-volume automotive manufacturing experience in exterior trim systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience leading APQP, PPAP, supplier readiness, tooling and process validation, Run at Rate, launch execution, and structured problem solving.
• Deep knowledge of exterior trim manufacturing processes and Class A components such as fascias, trim, and decorative parts.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T, PFMEA, control plans, SPC, MSA, DOE, capability analysis, root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end industrialization strategy for exterior trim commodities, including timing, tooling, capital equipment, fixtures, process validation, and start of production.
• Lead robust APQP execution from design through mass production, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated.
• Influence part design and sourcing decisions by assessing manufacturing feasibility, supplier capability, capacity, and quality systems.
• Lead supplier audits, capacity reviews, and corrective-action plans; monitor performance and drive permanent resolutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to protect production, resolve escalations, and hit program milestones.
