Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking a Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services-DOT to manage exterior facility operations, coordinating maintenance and safety compliance at Walmart locations in Columbus, GA.

The role oversees heavy machinery, seasonal snow and ice work, and vehicle readiness while driving cost control through procurement and warranty claims. You will lead third‑party providers, coach associates, and implement improvements to sustain facility standards and efficiency in collaboration

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving within the last three years.
• No more than two moving violations in the last three years, if driving a CMV.
• No serious traffic violations in the last three years, if operating a CMV.
• No preventable accidents in the last three years, if operating a CMV.
• Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification pre-hire.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• 2 years’ experience in the landscaping/gardening industry.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment following safety and certification standards.
• Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including snow and ice management to ensure safe facility conditions.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot facility issues to meet operational and safety requirements.
• Manage vehicle maintenance, inspections, and documentation to ensure readiness and compliance.
• Coordinate purchases, control costs, and submit warranty claims for parts and equipment.
• Lead third‑party providers, coach associates, and conduct performance evaluations to promote professional growth.
• Implement upgrades and improvements to enhance facility sustainability and reduce operating costs.
