Job summary

KLA is seeking a Senior Export Specialist to join the Global Trade Compliance team in the USA (Ann Arbor, MI). You will manage complex export controls, classification reviews, and compliance activities across global trade operations, while partnering with Legal, Logistics, Procurement, and Engineering to standardize processes and drive automation.

The role emphasizes ECCN classification, licensing, screening, and analytics development using Power BI.

Qualifications

Experience with EAR requirements, ECCN classification, and export licensing concepts.
Knowledge of restricted party screening, sanctions/embargo controls, and tech transfer considerations.
Experience with regulatory inquiries, audits, and compliance processes.

Responsibilities

Support ECCN determinations and classification reviews; maintain HS/HTS classifications for tech products.
Assist with export control reviews, license assessments, and disclosure evaluations as needed.
Lead design and improvement of export/import processes, controls, and governance.
Develop dashboards and analytics to monitor KPIs for trade compliance.
Identify regulatory risks and drive data-driven decisions with cross‑functional partners.
Support audits and periodic reviews of trade compliance controls and records.
Collaborate with logistics, procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
