Job summary

Barrick is seeking a Senior Project Geologist to join our Salt Lake City team. You will lead geoscience teams, oversee generation and delineation exploration activities, and drive evaluations of properties with potential Tier 1 discoveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geological Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 8 years of metallic mineral exploration experience; international experience.
• Experience with Carlin-type, sediment-hosted, SEDEX, or VMS deposits.
• Proven experience planning and executing drilling campaigns (RC and diamond).
• Leadership experience managing geological teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in English (spoken/written) and Spanish (full).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geoscience teams across exploration programs.
• Plan and oversee exploration activities in generation and delineation stages.
• Supervise field programs with data management, safety, and community relations.
• Evaluate properties and opportunities for Tier 1 discovery potential.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations in English and Spanish.
• Ensure timely delivery of geological data per Geoinformatics standards.
• Coordinate with Sustainability, HR, and permits teams.
