Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Senior Expeditor based in Houston to lead expediting for complex equipment and supplier recovery plans. You will own challenging supplier packages, validate recovery plans, and provide decision-ready facts to project and supplier leaders.

This senior IC role includes technical leadership and mentoring within the expediting framework. You will assess supplier performance, influence schedules, and drive improvements in delivery reliability while coaching others in schedule

Qualifications

• 7+ years of expediting, procurement, manufacturing, construction or project supply chain
• Ability to influence supplier and project leaders and explain risk clearly
• Experience verifying progress at supplier facilities and identifying constraints to delivery

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain contract-specific expediting plans within the project framework
• Manage complex, long-lead or schedule-critical packages through engineering, manufacturing, shipment, receipt and closeout
• Challenge supplier schedules, dependencies, durations, and constraints; reconcile dates with milestones and needs
• Lead expediting review of supplier recovery plans; test root cause, schedule logic, labor assumptions, material availability
• Plan and lead targeted shop-expediting visits; verify progress, capacity constraints, and evidence for promised dates
• Resolve delivery interfaces with Engineering, QA, Logistics, and site teams; escalate when needed
• Present delivery-risk assessments with options and decisions; recommend changes to surveillance
• Maintain forecast history and prepare delay chronologies for Contract Management
• Lead supplier performance reviews and coach expeditors in analysis and reporting
• Drive follow-through on receiving exceptions and ensure closeout with complete records
