Aurora Innovation Inc. is seeking a Principal Executive Recruiter to own executive and leadership hiring across the company.

You will report to the Head of Talent Acquisition, managing end-to-end searches for Director-and-above roles and advising the executive team on org design, market intelligence, and compensation. You will design interview processes, calibrate search briefs, negotiate offers, and collaborate on succession planning while mentoring the TA team to raise hiring standards across

Qualifications

• 10+ years of recruiting experience with significant executive search ownership.
• Proven track record owning end-to-end Director- to C-level searches.
• Experience serving as primary search partner to C-suite and VP leaders with data-driven decisions.
• Hands-on experience structuring and closing executive compensation packages (base, bonus, equity, sign-on).
• Deep sourcing expertise with talent maps and market intelligence for niche senior pools.
• Tool agnostic; able to run searches without reliance on a specific tool.
• Proven ability to conduct highly confidential executive searches with judgment and discretion.
• Hands-on use of AI to accelerate research and sourcing with high output quality.
• Experience coaching TA team members or building recruiting/sourcing training programs.
• Experience partnering with founders or board members on C-level hires.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end search lifecycle for Director+ roles across Aurora's business groups.
• Design and calibrate executive interview processes; produce search briefs and summaries.
• Advise executives with talent intelligence, market mapping, and hiring strategy.
• Structure and negotiate executive offers with Total Rewards and Finance.
• Partner on succession planning and leadership workforce planning.
• Share market learnings with the broader TA team to strengthen hiring.
• Mentor recruiters and sourcers; lead training across the Talent Acquisition team.
