Qualifications

• 6-8+ years progressively responsible experience in strategic communications within a large organization.
• Experience advising senior executives on communications strategy and executive positioning.
• Ability to translate complex information into clear messages for broad audiences.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and staff to identify communication needs.
• Translate leaders' initiatives into inspiring ideas and tailor messages for diverse audiences.
• Interest in inclusive excellence and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Knowledge of technology and new media to enhance internal and external communications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying complexity and to write on deadline.
• Experience in writing professional materials in Spanish (preferred).
• Background in a complex, global environment and familiarity with UC/UCLA policies.
