Job summary

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years progressive experience in strategic communications within a large organization
• Experience advising senior executives on communications strategy and sensitive issues
• Ability to translate complex information into clear messages
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify communication needs and deliver programs
• Translate leaders' initiatives into inspiring ideas for diverse audiences
• Commitment to inclusive excellence in an environment that prizes diversity
• Strong knowledge of technology and use of new media
• Improve and maintain internal communications structures within a complex org
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and write on deadline
• Work collaboratively with a broad communications organization and beyond
• Strong strategic orientation, attention to detail, and discretion
• Proficiency in producing professional-level Spanish writing
• Experience in complex, global industries
• Working knowledge of UC/UCLA policies and resources
