Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or public policy/public affairs preferred.
• 12+ years of professional experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Executive communications experience required.
• Experience in adopting and driving AI-powered solutions.
• Ability to translate business information into language that employees and customers can understand.
• Experience working with senior executives and developing authentic executive communications.
• Healthcare/biopharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive integrated internal and external communications plan for the USBU and the USBU President and U.S. Country Head, in partnership with key leaders.
• Serve as trusted communications advisor to the USBU President and U.S. Country Head, providing strategic counsel.
• Elevate opportunities for speaking engagements, media opportunities, and thought leadership platforms.
• Translate complex business, policy, and healthcare topics into audience-centric communications.
• Drive executive visibility with consistent messaging and amplification of initiatives.
• Create speeches, presentations, talking points, opinion pieces, videos, social content, and other executive communications.
• Collaborate with internal SMEs to develop plans and materials and leverage AI tools for efficiency.
• Support USBU and pan-U.S. communications coordination and alignment with leadership.
• Equip USBU leaders with tools to discuss Takeda's role in the U.S. and its purpose.
• Measure effectiveness and continuously improve through innovative technology.
