Job summary

KingRecruitingServices seeks an experienced underwriter for its Excess Liability team in Dallas. The role focuses on Lead Umbrella and Excess Liability accounts across manufacturers, contractors, retail services, and distribution, supporting a nationwide producer base.

The ideal candidate has 6–10 years in casualty underwriting, with prior Excess Liability and Commercial Umbrella experience. On-site four days a week with one remote day is expected to support collaboration and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 6–10 years of casualty underwriting experience.
• Excess Liability and Commercial Umbrella underwriting experience preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel overnight (10–50%).

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting of new and renewal Excess and Umbrella business.
• Analyze complex risk exposures for coverage, pricing, structure, and terms.
• Manage renewals, endorsements, and policy modifications with risk mitigation.
• Gather and assess loss histories, Safer-SMS reports, inspections, and third-party data.
• Document underwriting decisions and ensure regulatory compliance.
