Arch Capital Group Ltd. seeks an experienced underwriter to manage a portfolio of Umbrella and Excess Liability accounts, driving profitability and growth. The role involves risk assessment, pricing negotiations and ensuring contract certainty while maintaining broker and client relationships.

The selected candidate can sit in Alpharetta, GA, Dallas, TX, or Houston, TX, and will collaborate across global pricing tools and policy administration processes to deliver strong results.

Qualifications

• Assess risk inherent exposures relevant to Umbrella & Excess.
• Analyze pricing against benchmarks and market conditions.
• Draft and interpret consistent, robust policy wordings.
• Understand policy life cycle: issuance, bookings, credits, cancellations.

Responsibilities

• Grow and maintain profitability of broker portfolio within territory.
• Negotiate participation, pricing and terms for accounts.
• Develop strong broker and client relationships.
• Lead specialized technical work for Unsupported Umbrella & Excess Liability.
• Manage broker accounts to ensure profitable growth and efficient returns.
• Utilize global pricing tools for accurate quoting.
• Ensure accurate policy documentation is issued by producers.
• Maintain and file risk and transaction records.
• Handle complex referrals and re-underwrite when needed.
• Collaborate cross-regionally on Middle Market and related lines.
