Job summary

AzCEP is seeking a Test Developer to guide exam programs from development through production, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high content standards. You will work with SMEs, editors, and psychometricians to build robust assessment forms and maintain blueprints.

The role requires collaboration, data analysis, and strong communication, with occasional travel for workshops and stakeholder meetings.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in a related field required.
• Three to five years of relevant testing or related field experience.
• Experience in program or project management preferred.
• Understanding of question writing and examination construction principles.
• Ability to learn medical terminology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong written and oral communication, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Develops project schedules and coordinates assignments with SMEs and editors.
• Maintains item banks and ensures complete domain coverage.
• Develops examination forms aligned to blueprints with psychometric input.
• Guides SMEs through form assembly, review, publication, and validation.
• Organizes exam development meetings and logistics with staff editors.
• Prepares materials for committee and Board review.
• Onboards and trains new SMEs with training materials.
• Supports test development policies and procedures and best practices.
• Collaborates with psychometricians on scoring tasks and related projects.
• Maintains test development reports for stakeholders (internal/external).
• Provides technical support for testing applications as needed.
• Participates in Item Writers Workshop planning and support.
• Supports case development meetings as assigned.
• Documents item/case development processes and pursues improvements.
