Job summary

ABEM is seeking a Test Developer to draft exams, conduct quality control reviews, and ensure the integrity of medical assessments. You will guide examination programs through all stages of development and production, upholding high standards for content and compliance.

The role involves collaboration with SMEs and staff editors, development of forms, and frequent coordination of committees and workshops to ensure timely, accurate results.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree and 3–5 years of relevant work experience in testing or related field.
• At least two years of program or project management experience.
• Understanding of question writing and examination construction principles.
• Knowledge of measurement principles.

Responsibilities

• Guide multiple examination programs by developing, updating, and coordinating project schedules for SMEs with staff editors.
• Maintain item banks for multiple programs using standardized processes and gap analyses.
• Develop examination forms aligning with blueprints and selection criteria with psychometricians.
• Guide SMEs through form assembly, review, publication, and post-exam reviews.
• Organize exam development committee meetings, set agendas, timelines, and coordinate participants.
