Job summary

Leidos Defense in Huntsville, AL, is seeking an Electronic Warfare Software Lead to drive the technical direction of a large U.S. Air Force EW and radar program. You will lead architecture, design, and development across embedded and distributed software, ensuring real-time performance and secure coding practices.

The role requires strong C++, real-time processing, and leadership, with eligibility for a Secret/Top Secret clearance. Relocation to Huntsville is expected for the ideal candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with real-time systems, signal processing, and high-throughput data processing architectures.
• Proficiency in C++ and object-oriented design with performance-critical applications.
• Solid foundation in CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead software architecture, design, and development of advanced EW systems including RF sensing and signal processing.
• Provide technical leadership across the full software lifecycle and system integration.
• Oversee real-time, high-performance software for EW/Radar platforms (embedded and distributed).
• Guide evolution and sustainment of EW software frameworks for scalability and reuse.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing engineering team; collaborate with business development.
