Job summary

Banner Ocotillo Medical Center in Chandler, AZ seeks a Senior EVS Associate to maintain cleanliness, safety, and infection control. Responsibilities include heavy-duty floor care, carpet extraction, and project-based cleaning with power equipment.

Experience in floor care and operating cleaning equipment is required; you will train other associates and uphold high customer service standards for patients, visitors, and staff. Schedule: Thursday-Monday 7am - 3:30pm.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of diversified environmental service work experience in healthcare or institutional setting.
• Ability to operate typical industrial cleaning equipment and cleaning techniques in healthcare environments.
• Basic math skills; effective oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Respond to cleaning service requests via tracking systems; perform assigned work and maintain task logs.
• Conduct cleaning and infection control functions in clinical and sterile areas; follow gowning and cleaning procedures.
• Maintain department equipment and log usage; report repairs.
• Assess conditions to ensure neat, safe, and orderly facilities; escalate issues when needed.
• Provide leadership and training for less experienced associates; model customer service.
• Perform scheduled floor care (dust mopping, mopping, stripping, carpet extraction) and handle chemical mixing ratios.
• Communicate with supervisors and facilities staff about status of repairs and cleaning tasks.
