Qualifications

• Five years of experience in event planning and event management, preferably in a municipal or government setting, with at least three years in supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage event planning, art commissioning, and related services for City events and departments.
• Direct staff through managers, coordinators, and specialized personnel; set priorities and schedules.
• Coordinate public art selection, contracting, fabrication, and installation; oversee invoicing and payments.
• Plan, organize, and implement festivals and special events with compliance to policies and regulations.
• Prioritize funding and allocate budgets across projects; seek new funding resources.
• Communicate with staff and clients about upcoming events; monitor databases and logistics systems.
• Interview staff and manage hiring; provide guidance and maintain effective media communications for events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
