Sixthman seeks a Manager – Events to lead a cross-functional team across governance, marketing, talent relations, and production for a portfolio of company events. You will drive strategy, manage budgets, and ensure client satisfaction across sailing and non-sailing programs.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in event management or personnel leadership, with strong budget, negotiation, and communication skills and a passion for hospitality and live experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required and eight years of relevant experience in event management or personnel management is essential.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets and strong communication skills are required.
• Experience in music or hospitality industries is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and negotiate contracts.
• Excellent client relationship skills and the ability to grow owned events and portfolios.
• Advanced project management, budgeting, and reconciliation capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Event team and drive cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, Talent Buying, Finance, and Operations.
• Manage team capacity, workload, and forward planning for year-over-year growth.
• Recruit, train, and retain top talent; coach and mentor team members.
• Attend industry events to build relationships and stay ahead of best practices.
• Oversee special projects from concept to completion and drive revenue opportunities.
• Monitor KPIs like client retention, budgets, and event NPS; refine strategies to meet YoY goals.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure clear communication on scope, budget, and schedules.
• Negotiate client agreements and supervise term sheets with contracting partners.
• Oversee event budgeting, real-time variance tracking, and annual budget prep.
