Job summary

Hotel del Coronado, a historic Hilton property on Coronado Island, seeks an Assistant Director of Events to lead large-scale catering and events. The role emphasizes delivering exceptional guest experiences, revenue excellence, and operational mastery through strategic leadership and strong collaboration with internal teams.

Responsibilities

Implement strategic event initiatives and refine processes to deliver high-quality experiences.
Provide hands-on leadership to event operations and coordinate with stakeholders, guests, and suppliers.
Act as an events SME, stay current on trends, and represent Hilton in industry groups.
Support sales efforts by participating in client inspections and aligning solutions with brand standards.
Oversee budgets, forecasting, and cost reporting while optimizing staffing and space usage.
Foster a collaborative, guest- and team-centric culture within the team.
Mentor and develop talent, supporting career growth and maintaining open communication.
