Job summary

Philabundance seeks a Senior Events Manager to guide external events from planning to delivery, ensuring a high‑quality donor and community experience. You will lead cross‑functional teams, manage budgets, and maintain brand standards across all activities.

The role requires exceptional organization, proactive problem solving, and superior communication, with the ability to adapt in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment. Some travel and evenings/weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; extended hospitality/business education a plus.
• ServSafe (Managerial) certification required.
• Minimum 3 years in leadership roles within events or marketing hospitality.
• Strong project management to plan and execute a full spectrum of events from donor packing to galas.
• Must have budgeting experience with revenue and expense management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage events to support external affairs strategy.
• Execute events from prep to close, resolve issues, and align with budget goals.
• Own the quality and outcome of events.
• Assign events and ensure success with supporting teams.
• Collaborate with Development, Community Kitchen, and internal departments on logistics and donor experience.
• Negotiate with vendors and uphold Philabundance standards.
• Collect feedback through surveys and track trends to drive improvements.
• Represent Philabundance in public speaking and written communications.
