Job summary

The Freeman Company in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to coordinate inbound and outbound transportation for shows and events. You will quote, plan, execute, and bill transportation services with carriers, working closely with Sales, Project Management, and operations.

This role requires independent judgment in routing, carrier selection, and exception resolution, with on-site support during moves and a typical hybrid work schedule 2–3 days in the office or show-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience is required.
• Working knowledge of freight transportation, carrier services, routing, shipment documentation, and freight handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Independently coordinate and execute inbound and outbound transportation for Freeman shows and events.
• Evaluate shipment requirements and determine appropriate routing, carrier, equipment, and transportation service based on freight characteristics, customer requirements, timing, and show-site conditions.
• Make independent day-to-day transportation decisions within established guidelines and use sound judgment to resolve issues and exceptions.
• Provide transportation estimates and service recommendations to exhibitors, show and event teams, Sales, Project Management, and other Freeman stakeholders.
• Coordinate directly with carrier partners to schedule pickups and deliveries, confirm capacity and service requirements, communicate changes, and resolve service issues.
