Job summary

University of Washington is seeking an Event Production Manager to lead the production of complex, high-visibility events across indoor and outdoor venues. This role supports UW's brand strategy and donor engagement, partnering with campus stakeholders and leadership.

Working under the Associate Director of Events, you will supervise production plans, staffing, safety protocols and on-site operations. The position offers hybrid scheduling, evening/weekend flexibility, and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of event/production management or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Budget oversight and vendor management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide production management for complex, large-scale indoor and outdoor events.
• Oversee site management and logistics including power, lighting, AV and tech needs.
• Identify vendors, manage RFPs and contract negotiations with campus partners.
• Lead day-of operations, staffing, security and medical emergency teams.
• Develop comprehensive Safety Response & Disruption Plans for events.
• Manage annual university-wide and donor-focused events from design to execution.
• Provide admin support for team systems, calendars and volunteer tracking.
