Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an EE Senior Hardware Engineer to architect and design boards for our next generation product platform, including on-vehicle and off-vehicle components.

You will bring up designs, validate reliability, and work with OEMs/JDMs while contributing to electrical architecture and system integration. A BS in EE, Altium experience, and skills in DC-DC, buses, and C/C++ are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Experience with PCB design, schematics, and layout.
• Knowledge of DC-to-DC converters and data buses (I2C, SPI, CAN/LIN).
• Experience with bringing up and testing designs in production.
• Proficiency in Python and C/C++ coding.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design: schematic and layout of key boards and guidance to JDM/OEMs.
• Bring up and validate designs, test reliability, implement changes.
• Rapid prototyping of designs using off‑the‑shelf parts.
• System integration of electrical designs into vehicles.
• Influence electrical architecture and execution decisions.
