Job summary

Dimaag in Silicon Valley is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for on-site work in Fremont, CA. You will develop, program, and debug embedded software for advanced EV systems, collaborating with hardware and systems teams to ensure safety, performance, and reliability.

Ideal candidates bring strong C/C++ skills, RTOS experience, and hands-on debugging with ARM processors, plus familiarity with CAN, Ethernet, and SPI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in embedded software development for automotive or similar real-time systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and experience with embedded software development tools and environments.
• Strong understanding of RTOS, software architecture, and communication protocols.
• Hands-on experience with ARM processors and familiarity with ARM development tools.
• Experience debugging electronic circuit boards at hardware and software levels with probes and JTAG.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in embedded software programming for vehicle control, battery management, and power conversion systems using C/C++.
• Contribute to architectural design of embedded systems, including firmware, communication protocols, and integration.
• Implement and integrate CAN, Ethernet, and SPI protocols for data exchange between embedded systems and vehicle components.
• Develop fault diagnosis, error handling, and fail-safe mechanisms for robust operation.
• Debug and troubleshoot embedded systems; develop software for RTOS and time-critical applications.
• Design and execute test plans using HIL testing and on-vehicle testing methodologies.
• Create design specifications, test reports, and regulatory documentation to support development.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and QA teams for seamless software integration.
