Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer, Charging Systems to join a multidisciplinary engineering team developing next-generation high-voltage charging capabilities for Lucid vehicles. You will define MBSE-driven requirements, shape charging architectures, and collaborate across product management, software, hardware, and vehicle teams to deliver world-class charging features.

Qualifications

4+ years of systems engineering for automotive controls in production
4+ years MBSE to drive design and development workflows
Knowledge of vehicle charging standards SAE J1772/J3400 and ISO 15118
Experience with Automotive embedded electronic product development
ISO 26262 applied to drive system requirements and safety-driven design decisions

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end requirements for charging features with cross-functional stakeholders
Shape charging system architectures using MBSE
Translate concepts into subsystem requirements for precise vehicle functionality
Develop safety concepts with Functional Safety Engineers (FMEA/FTA)
Define test strategies with verification and validation teams
Collaborate with HV and software teams to define performance requirements
Contribute to product-level validation plans
Investigate and resolve charging issues through data-driven analysis
Coordinate lifecycle activities with program management
Champion continuous improvement of systems engineering practices
