Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks an experienced Senior Engineer to lead EV high voltage battery system design, collaborating with Hyundai Korea R&D, suppliers, and cross-functional teams in a production-intent environment.

You will develop and validate battery pack concepts, manage design changes, and drive reliability through DFMEA, PPAP, and DVP&R activities while engaging international partners and ensuring robust documentation.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field.
• M.S. in related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional design reviews with internal teams and external partners.
• Develop high voltage battery system concepts and verify through DVP&R activities.
• Manage ECRs and implement design revisions through milestones.
• Produce DFMEA documentation for xEV battery systems.
• Support PPAP and supplier quality validation.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
