Job summary

ASML US, LLC is seeking a Senior Algorithms & Controls Engineer in San Diego to lead advanced control solutions for EUV light generation. You will mentor engineers, develop control algorithms, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to enable stable, efficient production of EUV power.

Required are a strong background in control systems, MATLAB/Simulink, and experience with semiconductor equipment. On-site work in San Diego with potential cleanroom interaction and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Controls Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Chemical, Computer Engineering, Physics or related field; Master's/PhD preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing and implementing complex feedback control, optimization, or automation systems.
• Experience developing control algorithms using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Experience with system integration, troubleshooting, testing, and verification of complex engineering systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert for control/optimization/subsystems and coordinate testing and verification.
• Support product roadmaps and define system specifications.
• Lead design reviews and ensure architecture consistency across programs.
• Mentor junior controls engineers and guide development of control solutions.
• Coordinate lab and cleanroom testing and integration activities.
• Travel to customer sites to provide on-site support when required.
