Job summary

IBM Consulting in Houston seeks a senior Program Manager with deep experience in energy trading technology and ETRM implementations. You will lead end-to-end program planning across front-office, risk, operations, and back-office workstreams, applying Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid delivery, while coordinating budgets and vendor contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in energy trading technology, ETRM implementation, or commodity risk management; senior program management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage ETRM implementation program plans covering scope, schedule, budget, and resources across front-office, risk, back-office, logistics, and IT workstreams.
• Lead all project phases from initiation through post-go-live stabilization, applying Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery.
• Manage program budgets, vendor contracts, and resource plans across internal teams, client stakeholders, and third-party integrators.
• Lead configuration of risk management workflows including VaR, P&L attribution, and regulatory reporting across energy books.
• Oversee energy-specific risk constructs such as basis risk, spark/dark spreads, and collateral management.
• Lead implementation of physical commodity workflows from trade capture through delivery and settlement.
• Govern ERP/GL integration, market data feeds, and regulatory reporting connections; ensure data governance.
• Establish governance with CRO/CTO/VP Operations; drive change management and client alignment.
