Job summary

DRS IT Solutions is seeking a Sr ETL Developer/Senior Tableau Report Developer in Hartford, CT. The candidate must be local and able to come to the office 1 day per week. Open to W2/1099 arrangements.

The role requires extensive experience with Tableau, SQL, and SSIS/SSRS, and involves designing database architectures, ETL pipelines, and data migration from legacy systems. Strong communication and self-starting abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience in solution architecture and data integration.
• 5+ years Tableau experience.
• 5+ years complex SQL and T-SQL/SSRS/SSIS or Talend.
• Experience deploying SSIS via Git and SQL Agent.
• Strong problem solving and cross-functional analysis.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop Tableau reports.
• Design DB architecture including data marts and data models.
• Develop data acquisition and quality strategies.
• Migrate data from legacy systems to new platforms.
• Create and maintain advanced T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Optimize SSIS package execution and SQL performance.
• Coordinate with Business Analysts to validate requirements.
• Implement data integration with external data sources.
• Validate data loads and handle data discrepancies.
• Design data conversion strategies from legacy to new platforms.
• Perform design validation and error handling in data load processes.
