Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior ETL Developer with our client in the financial Industry located in San Francisco, CA. This is a 6+ month contract position.



Responsibilities:

• Lead moderately complex development efforts and deliverables within the data integration environment


• Design, build, test, and deploy ETL applications using Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC


• Review and evaluate technical challenges involving data workflows, system architecture, and performance bottlenecks


• Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements, conduct requirement reviews, and ensure alignment with ETL solutions


• Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and perform database performance tuning


• Support and enhance existing Informatica environment and develop scalable, reliable ETL pipelines


• Utilize shell scripting and UNIX to manage data processes and environment support


• Leverage Autosys (or equivalent scheduling tool) for batch scheduling and workflow automation


• Integrate CI/CD tools like GIT, Jenkins, and UrbanCode Deploy (UCD) to manage deployment lifecycle


• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently with minimal guidance


• Collaborate with team members and managers to meet business needs and compliance standards


• Act as an escalation point and provide mentorship to junior developers on the team

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience (or equivalent combination of experience, training, and education)


• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC/IICS for data integration


• 3+ years of experience writing optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and conducting performance tuning


• 2+ years of working experience in UNIX and shell scripting


• 2+ years of experience with Autosys or similar job scheduling tools


• Experience with GIT, Jenkins, UCD , or other CI/CD tools for build and deployment


• Demonstrated ability to optimize and troubleshoot complex SQL performance issues


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to independently manage tasks and deliverables with minimal supervision

Pay Range: $ 52 - 62
