Position Summary:

The Senior ETL/Data Integration Engineer – Data & Analytics plays a key role in NeoGenomics's informatics division, enabling analytics on cloud data assets and ensuring high-quality data for cancer genetics research and innovation. The Senior ETL/Data Integration Engineer – Data & Analytics is responsible for API integration, data transformation, and relational database management to support various data-driven initiatives within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and requirements for tailored data assets.
• Provide accurate effort estimates and design solutions that align with customer specifications.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to efficiently extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources and formats (RESTful APIs, RDPs, Containers).
• Implement, test, and maintain data solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and adherence to best practices.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, addressing queries and providing technical support.
• Offer innovative solutions to accommodate new stakeholder requirements, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Experience, Education, and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required. Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
• 5 or more years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data integration, or a related field with a strong focus on ETL processes and orchestration -OR-
• 3 or more years of experience with a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Possess superior knowledge of cloud services and their integration with data engineering processes.
• Experience in streaming data processing.
• Proficiency in scripting languages for data transformation and automation, including Python, SQL, PowerShell, and JavaScript.
• Expertise in consuming RESTful APIs and working with semi-structured data formats (JSON, XML).
• Advanced SQL skills with extensive experience in relational databases such as Snowflake, SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle.
• Strong skills in data modeling, schema design, and ETL processes.
• Implementation of cloud data engineering best practices using AWS, Azure, and Snowflake.
