Senior Data Engineer

LIVE WHAT YOU WILL DO

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to develop and implement our data strategy. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with data-driven problem-solving skills.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, build, and optimize data pipelines and platforms while mentoring junior engineers.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Contributing to the design, development, and implementation of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration solutions
2. Owning data pipeline projects from inception to deployment, managing scope, timelines, and risks
3. Leading and mentoring junior team members to meet business needs
4. Ensuring data quality and integrity through testing and monitoring
5. Leveraging cloud platforms (AWS preferred) to build scalable data solutions
6. Collaborating with data analysts, scientists, and stakeholders to understand data requirements
7. Identifying and resolving complex data challenges
8. Adhering to data engineering best practices and standards
9. Staying updated with latest data technologies and trends

What We Expect of You

Our ideal candidate:

• Has hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and can architect cost-effective, scalable data solutions
• Proficient in Python, PySpark, SQL, with experience in big data ETL performance tuning
• Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Has effective communication skills in English for collaboration
• Experienced with data modeling and performance tuning for OLAP and OLTP databases
• Familiar with Apache Spark, Apache Airflow
• Experienced with software engineering best practices
• Knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud services
• Holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar
• AWS Certified Data Engineer or Databricks Certificate preferred
