BMO Capital Markets seeks an ETF Algo Engineer to design and support low-latency trading algorithms for its ETF Market Making team. The role emphasizes AI-assisted development to improve productivity, quality, and delivery.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering and quantitative skills with knowledge of trading workflows, market data, and risk management across multiple assets. This is a high-impact, production-focused role in the US.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Finance, or equivalent.
• Strong Python and/or C++ software engineering experience with production systems.
• Experience in electronic trading, low-latency systems, or real-time applications.
• Knowledge of ETFs, market data, and trading protocols (FIX or venue interfaces).

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, test, and support low-latency ETF pricing and trading algorithms.
• Build systemic trading, pricing, and risk tools for ETFs and related assets.
• Integrate exchange, broker, and market-data connectivity.
• Develop reusable services for data, order management, and risk controls.
• Measure latency, throughput, and quote performance; ensure production resilience.
