Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to help optimize process equipment and improve yield across our advanced semiconductor operations. The role focuses on reliable tool performance and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent military experience.
• 5+ years direct Etch semiconductor experience in high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on etch tools following standard procedures.
• Respond to tool faults/interlocks and assist wafer recovery with proper documentation.
• Coordinate with Shift Supervisor to ensure PM coverage for priority tools.
• Resolve unplanned equipment issues and update relevant documentation.
• Provide support for new equipment introductions and SOP updates.
• Monitor abnormal equipment signals and ensure tool uptime and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement improvements reducing costs and increasing throughput.
