Job summary

SkyWater Technology, Inc. in Austin, TX seeks an Equipment Maintenance Technician to provide advanced technical support, train junior technicians, and develop complex troubleshooting skills under the guidance of principal technicians and engineers.

The role supports the Etch Department with maintenance planning for multiple toolsets and engagement in equipment projects. A two-year degree or equivalent experience with 5–10 years in the field is required.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in engineering, electronics, or equivalent experience (5-10 years).
• Ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
• General area knowledge.
• Equivalent experience of 5-7 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced-level technical support for equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Have advanced knowledge and experience on one main platform in the Thin Films area.
• Train junior technicians on advanced level PMs and complex troubleshooting methodologies.
• Develop and implement maintenance plans for multiple toolsets.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using complex troubleshooting and junior technician assistance.
• Participate in equipment projects and provide technical expertise.
• Entry level leadership skills for the Maintenance group lead role.
