Job summary

Fluor Corporation is seeking a Senior Estimator to develop capital cost estimates for the California High-Speed Rail Authority program delivery. You will work within the Program Management & Oversight Branch to support planning, design, and construction cost estimates, coordinate inputs with stakeholders, and review contractor estimates.

The role requires a 15+ year estimating background, strong communication skills, and experience with transit projects over $1B.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent and 15+ years of work experience, or 19 years if non-degreed
• Ability to communicate with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Knowledge of local, state/provincial, and federal guidelines for cost estimating
• Attention to detail and time-conscious work habits
• Experience supervising junior and mid-level estimators and cost analysts
• Experience with design and construction disciplines for CAHSR and transit infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Develop capital cost estimates from planning through design and construction
• Coordinate with stakeholders to develop cost estimate inputs
• Support bi-annual Programmatic Business Plan cost estimates and project updates
• Review contractor estimates and claims
• Develop policies and procedures for programmatic cost estimating
• Perform additional duties as assigned
