Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is seeking a Lead Estimator to supervise a high‑performing team delivering accurate quotations, pre‑order support, and value engineering for complex design‑build projects.

You will influence pricing strategies and collaborate with account managers and senior leaders to drive revenue and profitability. The role emphasizes pricing development, workload prioritization, and strong customer service to builders and corporate clients, with opportunities to lead

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with emphasis in Structural, Architectural, or Construction Management.
• Professional Engineering license; or 10 additional years of equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in steel design or pre-engineered metal building estimating/design.
• 7 years of customer quoting experience and direct involvement with sales.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of estimators and sales engineers to deliver timely, accurate quotations.
• Provide pricing guidance and support for final pricing decisions with sales leadership.
• Develop value engineering ideas to streamline design and manufacturing.
• Coordinate post-order pricing and solutions with project managers and engineers.
• Schedule workload and prioritize opportunities from the sales team.
• Participate in internal and external program-wide discussions to optimize estimates.
