Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is seeking a Lead Estimator to supervise a team of estimators and sales engineers, drive accurate quotations, and provide pricing guidance for complex projects.

You will develop value engineering ideas and support high-level pricing decisions with corporate account managers and senior sales leadership. The role requires strong leadership, engineering background, and extensive experience in steel design or pre‑engineered metal buildings, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, with emphasis in Structural, Architectural, or Construction Management.
• PE license or 10+ years of industry experience or 7+ years estimating experience in lieu of license.
• 7+ years of experience in Steel Design or Pre-Engineered Metal Building Estimating/Design.
• 7 years of customer quoting experience and direct involvement with sales.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of estimators and sales engineers.
• Provide accurate quotation assistance and pricing guidance.
• Develop value engineering ideas for design‑build opportunities.
• Support post‑order pricing solutions and client discussions.
