Job summary

Prestige Land in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Estimator to prepare accurate site work estimates. You will review plans and geotechnical reports, perform quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, grading, and paving, and develop labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs.

The role requires 5–8 years estimating experience, reading civil plans, and proficiency with Agtek, HCSS, Bluebeam, and Bid2Win.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years estimating experience in site work or civil construction.
• Strong understanding of earthwork, grading, utilities, erosion control, and civil methods.
• Proficiency with takeoff and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specs, geotechnical reports, and addenda.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, grading, and paving.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Identify risks and value-engineering opportunities.
• Prepare templates, cost histories, and production data.
• Build proposals and bid documentation; solicit subcontractor quotes.
• Coordinate with project managers and field teams to validate production rates.
