Job summary

BBCH Support Services (BBCH SS), LLC seeks an Estimator to lead pricing and bid development for complex, self-performed structural repair and restoration projects in the DC area. You will prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for concrete repair, waterproofing, strengthening, and other specialty restoration scopes.

CSI-DC clients include commercial, educational, and government sectors, with a strong track record and self-perform capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• 10+ years of construction estimating experience, ideally in concrete repair or self-performing projects.
• Ability to estimate projects of moderate complexity up to $10 Million with a team.
• Skill in calculating quantity takeoffs, material costs, labor costs, and equipment costs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specs, and contract documents to develop detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Prepare complete bid packages for self-performed work including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracted scopes.
• Develop detailed work plans and pricing for concrete repair, cathodic protection, epoxy injection, FRP strengthening, and waterproofing.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor quotes to ensure coverage and competitiveness.
• Conduct site visits and pre-bid meetings to assess conditions and risks.
• Collaborate with operations and field leadership to validate production rates and schedules.
• Perform risk analysis and value engineering to protect margin.
• Maintain historical cost data and refine estimating tools.
