Job summary

Tallgrass is seeking an experienced Estimator / Scheduler in Houston to develop, maintain, and analyze cost estimates and project schedules for large-scale EPC projects. The role collaborates with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to support controls, proposals, and execution of complex projects.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in cost estimating and scheduling, proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project, and a strong background in project controls, risk management, and CPM/EVM

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in cost estimating and project scheduling for large EPC projects.
• Experience with Major Projects with USD 1B+ portfolio.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Knowledge of EPC contracts, procurement strategies, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of comprehensive cost estimates (FEL 1–2 and detailed) from concept to execution.
• Analyze scope, terrain, env factors and schedule impacts to ensure reliable estimates.
• Prepare take-offs and direct cost estimates (labor, materials, equipment).
• Maintain cost databases and use historical data to improve accuracy.
• Review bids for compliance with scope and financial expectations.
• Develop and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
