Job summary

City FM in Burlington, MA seeks a Senior Estimator for Refrigeration and HVAC to develop accurate estimates and compelling customer proposals. You will work with operations, project management, and procurement to ensure alignment from scope through turnover, including field validation and risk assessment.

The role requires 7+ years in related fields, experience with complex commercial systems, and the ability to travel up to 50% across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in commercial refrigeration/HVAC or related fields.
• Experience estimating for replacement, retrofit, remodel, or new construction.
• Experience with labor unions and trade classifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed estimates for refrigeration and HVAC projects from drawings and specs.
• Perform labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor takeoffs.
• Solicit quotations and evaluate risks, scope gaps, and conditions.
• Conduct site visits to validate scope and conditions and support estimates.
• Prepare budgets and ROM estimates and update for changes.
• Prepare customer-facing proposals with pricing, assumptions, and exclusions.
• Support change orders and project modifications.
• Maintain estimating records and cost data for future use.
