Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. represents a leading HVAC manufacturers' rep in North America. The Senior Estimator will develop accurate, detailed construction cost estimates at progressive design stages and lead the estimating team.

You will adhere to Preconstruction standards, collaborate with designers and clients, manage bid packages and budgets, and travel 10-20% as required to support project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Developing accurate, detailed construction cost estimates at progressive design stages
• Developing associated scope of work clarifications
• Identifying risk items and the associated order of magnitude
• Assisting with Preconstruction resource management
• Assisting with the development and utilization of the Preconstruction processes, standards and tools
• Assisting the Pricing Lead and participating in estimate review meetings
• Contributing to cost savings exercises
• Assisting with the development of bid packages
• Assisting with the project construction budget
• Assisting with Preconstruction-Operations Turnover Meetings
• Assisting with Subcontractor and Vendor relationships
• Assisting with project procurement and buyout
• Collaborating with Preconstruction Leadership
• Collaborating with designers and clients
• Collaborating and assisting the project operations team
• Following project construction costs and market trends
• Participating in Preconstruction software development, maintenance, and historical costs
• Leading and training Estimating personnel
• Travel as required - 10%-20%
• Other duties which may be assigned as needed

Job description

My client is the largest independent commercial HVAC manufacturers' rep in North America, with 20 locations in the US and Canada. You would become part of the best team in Commercial HVAC, Refrigeration, and of course, BMS and Industrial Controls.

In this role, you will develop accurate, detailed construction cost estimates. The Senior Estimator leads and trains estimating personnel while following the Preconstruction standards and processes.
