You will collaborate with trade partners, maintain organized cost databases, and support preconstruction meetings to ensure seamless project handoffs into construction. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in residential construction.
• Experience estimating custom homes, large remodels, and additions.
• Proven procurement experience for residential projects.
• Ability to read complete construction plan sets.
• Experience developing budgets and takeoffs.
• Knowledge of residential building methods and sequencing.
• Experience coordinating with subs, vendors, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate construction estimates from plan sets, including architectural, structural, MEP, and detail drawings.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop project budgets.
• Solicit and compare bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Build and maintain project budgets within Buildertrend before proposals are presented.
• Coordinate procurement for materials and subs after award.
• Issue purchase orders and secure long-lead materials to prevent delays.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate pricing.
