Job summary

3i, a general contractor and construction management firm in Dallas, seeks an experienced Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating and preconstruction from concept through award. You will develop budgets, bid strategies, and manage subcontractor relations to secure profitable projects.

The ideal candidate is strategic, collaborative, and able to manage multiple pursuits while building client and partner relationships for successful bids.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction estimating or cost control experience, including significant field experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple bids and pursuits simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and project delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documentation to develop budgets.
• Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates through design.
• Lead subcontractor solicitation, evaluate proposals, and develop bid strategies.
• Mentor junior estimators and support continuous improvement of estimating processes.
