Job summary

Fortis Construction, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Estimator to perform conceptual estimates and manage project budgets. In this role, you will interface with clients and prepare progress budgets while utilizing various estimating software.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a construction estimating role, be adept at reading construction plans, and have strong communication and organizational skills.

This position requires a valid driver’s license and may involve some travel.

Qualifications

• 5 years of successful experience as an estimator in construction-based field.
• Ability to read and interpret conceptual plans, schematics, working drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication skills and must work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Interface with clients, architects and engineers as directed during all phases of preconstruction services.
• Develop and manage project quantity surveys, estimates, and budgets.
• Prepare progress budgets to monitor installation cost trends.
