Job summary

Codaray Construction seeks a Senior Estimator to manage bids from pre-bid through handoff to operations, across hard bid, design-build, and negotiated projects. This role provides leadership within the estimating team and interfaces with purchasing and project management.

The Senior Estimator will lead strategy, perform quantity takeoffs, cost analyses, maintain databases, and develop staff, while ensuring accurate, competitive bids for commercial construction.

Qualifications

• Ten years of commercial construction estimating across hard bid, design-build, and negotiated delivery.
• Bachelor's degree in construction-related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Proficient in estimating software with strong understanding of drawings and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage full bid lifecycle from strategy to handoff to operations.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, cost analyses, and bid tabulations.
• Maintain estimating databases for pricing and historical data.
• Solicit subcontractor participation and manage trade relationships.
• Supervise and develop estimating staff.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Accounting, and Project Management.
